Lots of pictures for this one.
Lake Russell Baptist Mission Team (at least part of us) went to Little Birch, WV for the third time last week.
These first two are photos of the New River Bridge, which is the largest arch bridge in the Western Hemisphere. I think it would be a really awesome Bridge to bungee jump off of, and they have a bridge day each year in which various stunts are preformed, but sadly bungee jumping was banned after an accident...aww shucks!

Our world class cook Chef Roger Childs. Oh, the wonderful food he prepares. Each meal is a treat!

No, Rena is not eating Roger's cooking. Her face would be happy then. This is after trying a persimmon (not to be confused with Richard Simmons). I liked it...I mean it's not my favorite fruit, but it's okay. Rena, however, was not having any of that.

Brantley and Carrie....being Brantley and Carrie. I tell you...if you're going on a mission trip bring these two---certainly entertaining.

This is me, Benton, and Rena. We met Benton in 2005, and he hasn't changed. A ball of energy, and a great kid. He really wants us to visit this summer, and we hope we can!

Of course we brought along puppets. Actually, Aaron had them....he's an up and coming puppeteer in our troupe. This is Louie with him, and Louie made a friend who couldn't leave without saying goodnight.

Benton again---see ball of energy!
The group: Roger, Rena, Brantley, me, Carrie, Aaron, Sonya, and Preacher Phil

Our new friends the Cherry's perform for us. This is a very musical family. Dennis the patriarch of the group is the associational missionary for the region. I think and hope they are going to be visiting us sometime.
Jane and Preacher Bebe join in. Also, she's the smartest lady in the world--she married him didn't she. (Bebe's favorite saying)
Bekka, me, and Mandy. We met these girls in 2001--our first trip. We just love them and their family! They've grown into wonderful young ladies. Yes, they were disappointed Austin wasn't there this time....and I'm working on photoshopping his head on my body for them.

Who doesn't want a back rub after a long van ride....even if it is from a puppet. Josh is an excellent masseur, and boat loads of entertainment when you are in that giddy no-sleep phase...plus, he really likes cinnamon rolls.
