First, I've got to thank Tiffany and Darrell for their patience.  I've hated making them wait to see their wedding images, but just couldn't help it.  After all I was fulfilling my duties as a wife..."through sickness."
Tiffany and Darrell chose Mountain View Weddings in Taylors, SC to get married.  I'd never been there, but was wowed by the scenery.  They couldn't have picked a lovelier spot to be married.





 

When Jeff and I got engaged and set the date the first thing I did was start looking for a wedding photographer.  We only had five months, so I was cutting it close, and really blessed to find a great one.  Between ourselves we went back and forth on whether or not to do an engagement session.  We thought about setting up a tripod, or asking a friend to snap the photo after we'd set up the pose and camera settings.  In the end we decided to have an session with our photographer.  I am so, so, so glad we did.  We have some great photos of us that we can treasure forever.  Plus, it was tons of fun.  

Back in the dark ages, before facebook, instagram, and digital, there was a thing called film.  In order to see your pictures you had to print them (What? craziness you say!  Nope, true story.).  It doesn't seem that long ago when moms carried brag books and news brides took their wedding albums with them to show for a few weeks after getting it back.  My mom's wedding albums consisted of about 25 8x10s.  My two best friends got an album with 4x5s and 4x6s.  Things have come a long way baby!  Not only are images projected around the world through social media, but albums are works of art.  To see your wedding day laid out in a storybook held in your hands is way better than any facebook album could be!

The album company I use (Finao) is a green company.  The do everything they can to be responsible and sustainable.

A year before their wedding Laura and I met at Starbucks to talk about her wedding photography.  She was hoping for a June 2nd wedding, but was unsure since Brandon was in Iraq at the time.  Brandon finally made it home...or stateside, I guess you could say.  Texas isn't exactly Greenwood.  I was thrilled to be able to do their engagement session last September.  I love seeing my wedding couples together before the big day!  These two were awesome.  It was fun to follow Laura's wedding planning on facebook.  Then we got to meet again a little bit before the wedding, and I got to see in person what she'd been up to the last year.  She had been extremely busy!  The only thing left to do was plan a honeymoon, and that was up in the air until Brandon learned how long he was going to get away.  Oh, and she also had to plan on moving...where...she didn't know.  Not long before the wedding she texted me to say she would be moving to Texas, and...get this....leaving after the wedding.  Crazy!  I knew they were both excited about the wedding, and I couldn't wait until their wedding to see everything in place.
