Laura & Brandon: Married

A year before their wedding Laura and I met at Starbucks to talk about her wedding photography.  She was hoping for a June 2nd wedding, but was unsure since Brandon was in Iraq at the time.  Brandon finally made it home...or stateside, I guess you could say.  Texas isn't exactly Greenwood.  I was thrilled to be able to do their engagement session last September.  I love seeing my wedding couples together before the big day!  These two were awesome.  It was fun to follow Laura's wedding planning on facebook.  Then we got to meet again a little bit before the wedding, and I got to see in person what she'd been up to the last year.  She had been extremely busy!  The only thing left to do was plan a honeymoon, and that was up in the air until Brandon learned how long he was going to get away.  Oh, and she also had to plan on moving...where...she didn't know.  Not long before the wedding she texted me to say she would be moving to Texas, and...get this....leaving after the wedding.  Crazy!  I knew they were both excited about the wedding, and I couldn't wait until their wedding to see everything in place.

Gorgeous shoes!!!

Spectacular dress!  I love it!

The earrings were her grandmother's, who got them as a gift from her parents' the day she was married.

Laura looked so so beautiful for her wedding!

This deep purple looked awesome on everybody!

Laura gave a handkerchief to each of her parents....so sweet!

Jeff is still talking about how meticulous Brandon was about shining his shoes, and placing everything in its proper place.

I loved this moment with his granddad.

I feel so honored in the presence of all of our military!  Seriously, these men and women are amazing.  Thank you, Brandon, for your service.  I was humbled in your presence.

That guy in the back is Brandon's dad.  He is was a lot of fun!  We always enjoy getting to meet and work with the family of our couples.  We especially enjoy it when we they are cool!

Brandon's mom passed away suddenly at the end of 2011.  I know this was a major heartbreak for all of her family.  It was so touching to see Laura's mom step in with Brandon for the parent dance.

This was the cake that Brandon's mom really wanted him to have.

Brandon's sister and dad got in on the bouquet and garter toss!  Go Kidd family!

Cute kids from the day.

Packed to the brim, on their way to their new home in Texas.  I hope you guys had a good trip.

Laura and Brandon, I pray that you have a long and happy life together.  I hope you are not too lonely or hot in Texas, and I am wishing that you guys will one day have the honeymoon you deserve!  Thank you for allowing us to share in your wedding day!
