June: Project MCP

I hope everyone is staying cool!  It's always shocking to me that it gets so hot in the summer....I am not a lover of the summer.  There are things I enjoy about it, but the heat is not one of them.  June was a fun month in the Milde household.  I enjoyed thinking about the Challenges at the first of the month.  Challenge #2 the night shot never happened for me.  I do like to play around with night photography, but didn't get to it this month.  Maybe I'll make that one up soon.

Challenge #1 was Summer Love.  My summer love this year is doing fun things with Ada.  It's not really that different than the rest of the year, but she's just learning, and becoming so much fun lately.  I love having conversations with her.  She's just funny!

Challenge #3: Capture a candid moment.  A couple of weeks ago it dawned on me that we there are so many things that Ada can do now since she's a toddler.  One is the zoo.  She loves animals in her books, and on Baby Einstein, and she definitely has all the animal sounds down.  So we decided to hit up the Greenville Zoo.  We had planned to do it the week before, but it didn't work out since we had VBS too.  Thursday morning we ventured out before it got too hot.  She had a blast!  Although, it took at lot of convincing for her to get past the slides at Cleveland Park.  This shot was taken in front of the pot-bellied pig.  The barnyard section allows you to get closer to the animals, and the pig was right at her level.  She thought it was hilarious!

Challenge #4:  Refresh.  This happened a couple of weeks ago.  We have a sprinkler system for our yard, which is finished running before we even wake up most times.  I happened to remember a couple of sprinklers that we had in the shed.  I set everything up, but Ada did not really get it, and was a little freaked out at first. I had to show her a couple of times how to run through it.  She got the hang of it pretty quickly.  Of course mommy had to go to.  We were both completely drenched, but had an awesome time.
